Our passionate team
Advocacy Matters is run by a passionate team of advocates, managers, and volunteers who believe everyone deserves a voice. Our Steering Group - made up of people with disabilities, some of whom have experienced advocacy themselves - plays an active role in shaping how we work.

Advocacy Matters vision of the future is for a fully inclusive society where individuals rights are upheld, their needs and wishes acted on and where their lives are fulfilling and active. We believe in:

Our steering group
Our group is made up of people with disabilities some of whom have had an Independent Advocate before. The group helps to make decisions about the charity, undertakes self and peer advocacy and provides training and consultation work to external services.
